Saldier a Triumph Hurdle Dark Horse after Navan maiden win

It took a while for Irish trainer Willie Mullins to produce a classy juvenile and in the space of two weeks, the master at Closutton Stables now has two.

Mr Adjudicator was a convincing winner last time out and will have experience to call upon at Cheltenham, while a new potential star emerged on Saturday in the form of Saldier, a Rich Ricci owned horse that looks a quality act.

Now a 10-12/1 chance for the JCB Triumph Hurdle on Cheltenham Gold Cup Friday at the Festival, Saldier is likely to go to Cheltenham with just that one run under his belt. It’ll be no easy task to win a Grade 1 at the Festival after just one run, but he looks a really promising young horse.
